MINUTES OF
THE BLAIR PARK BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 1, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by George
Wilson. Also present were Marilyn Gentry, Gene Solomon, Roger
Hohensee, Bob Leonard, and Gregory P. Drew. Ralph Steyer was
also present.
Bob Leonard reported regarding his solicitations from the
Nebraska State Arboretum. He indicated that the annual
solicitation should be completed by the December meeting.
Marilyn Gentry suggested that the previous month's minutes be
mailed out with the upcoming meeting's agenda.
,Ralph Steyer reported regarding surplus plant materials.
After discussion, it was concluded that the materials may be
needed by the City or Park. No action was taken.
Discussion regarding the long and short term plans was tabled
pending the outcome of the 2% Lid.
Ralph Steyer indicated that the north and west boundaries of
Black Elk are higher than the neighboring properties and
consideration should be given to removing the dirt as
circumstances and needs present themselves.
It was moved by Gene Solomon and seconded by Bob Leonard that
all memorials be approved by the Park Board, and that memorials be
recognized by a plaque placed on an appropriate display erected
in Steyer Park.
A motion to adjourn was made by Roger Hohensee, seconded by
Gene Solomon and unanimously carried.
