The meeting was called to order by President George Wilson. Members
present were Marilyn Gentry, Judy Sick, George Wilson, Robert Leonard,
Genen Solomon and Roger Hohensee. Ralph Steyer was also present.
Minutes of the March 1, meeting were read and approved.
Old Business:
Blair Park Board Minutes
April 5, 1990
Bob Leonard has discussed the planting of trees at Vet's Field with
members of the recreation committee and with Lloyd Peterson.
It was moved and seconded that a letter written by Bob Leonard and
backed by the board be sent to the Papio NRD in support of the development
of the California Bend Project. Motion carried.
Previous to our meeting, tiom at 6:30 PM the park board visited po-
tential sites for and R, V. Park. The board voted to recommend to the
Blair Chamber of Commerce and the Blair City Council that the following
sites be considered:
1. Land at the dog pound.
2. Railroad right of way at Lion's Park.
3. Pongy Park.
Ralph Steyer and Bob Leonard reported that they would soon be con-
tacting possible corporate members in the State Wide Arboretum.
It wa. reported that Dale Stricklett had recommended that two new
picnic tables be purchased. It was decided that Dale Stricklett determine
which barna of tables be purchased.
The board revised the five year plan on the purchase of play ground
equipment. George Wilson will rewrite the proposal for the use of the
cabin at the hose Garden.
New Business:
It was reported that ,#350.00 was received from Clark Henson for the
purchase of hay from BlackLlk- Neihardt Park.
The board voted to support the plan of the eommittee of Blair Arbor
Park Middle School for the grant from the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum.
Judy Sick announced that she was ending her membership on the Blair
Park Board. The board voted to recommend Mrs. Debbie (Kelly) Flynn to
rPnlare Judv.
