Park Board Minutew
Dec. 5, 1991
Members present were Bob Leonard, Bill Tisdale, Gene Solomon
and George Wilson. Also present was Ralph Steyer.
Motion made by Trisdale and seconded by Solomon that the minutes
of the November meeting be accepted as mailed out. Motion carried.
Wilson explained the cost of freight on shipping picnic tables
and the playground equipment. Tables are shipped directly from the
Cherokee, Iowa,, factory and the playground equipment from the factory
near Springfield, Missouri.
George reported that the Uhamber of Commerce would take care of
sending the application Tree City USA.
George read a letter from Brandi Frahm wondering if we could
place names on the trees. George said that he had answered her
letter.
Annual dues to the Nebraska State Wide Arboretum in the
amount of $50 are due . Ten dollars in dues are also due to Arbor
Lodge. Motion by Trisdale and seconded by Leonard. Motio}
carried.
Steyer asked permission to furnish some of our surplus trees
in the nursery to other NSA arboretum sites. Permission was
granted by the board.
Wilson reported that Marilyn Gentry had talked to Tom Nielsen
about putting an article in his publican about the parks, probably
in April.
Next meeting will be January 2, 1992.
Motion by Solomon and seconded by lrisdal to adjourn. Motion
carried.
