MINUTES OF
THE BLAIR PARK BOARD MEETING
June 6, 1991
The meeting was called to order by George Wilson, Chairman
at 7:30 P.M. in the Blair Park Office. Present were Chairman
Wilson, Bob Leonard, Gene Solomon, Bill Tripp, and Greg Drew.
Ralph Steyer was also present.
Discussion was had regarding the glider swing. It was
reported that no swings were available and no further action was
taken.
It was moved by Gene Solomon and seconded by Bill Tripp to
purchase a GEO Desic Climber to be placed at Stemmerman Park, the
cost of which is not to exceed $700.00. Chairman Wilson is
authorized to select the exact model.
It was reported that the NRD and Game and Parks Commission
have approved funding at $10,000.00 and $20,000.00 respectively
for the Recreational Vehicle Park. The matter will be presented
to the City Council.
Negotiations continue with regard to the Prairie Hay crop.
A sign and labeling system for the Blair Park Nursery was
discussed, but no action was taken.
Moved by Greg Drew and seconded by Bob Leonard to spray the
exercise trail with Round Up in preparation for installation of
wood chips by the Blair Rotary Club. Unanimously carried.
Moved by Greg Drew and seconded by Bob Leonard that the July
meeting not be held. Unanimously carried. Moved to adjourn by
Gene Solomon, seconded by Bill Tripp. Unanimously carried.
