BLAIR PARK BOARD
April 2, 1992
MINUTES
The meeting of the Blair Park Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by
President, Bob Leonard. Also present were Board members: Gene Solomon, Marilyn
Gentry, George Wilson, Jim Peterson, Bill Trisdale and Guest, Ralph Steyer.
Previous minutes were accepted as read.
Under old business, the following items were covered. Leonard reported
on a discussion with City Administrator, Rod Storm about putting park information
on computer. A review will be done.
The Park Superintendent position is still in the formulation state.
Nothing new to report at this time.
Tetherballs never die! We are going to try it one more time.
We touched briefly on brochures for the park system and the R.V. park.
Not much new to report.
As new business, the Optimist club requested the use of the park for the
annual Easter egg hunt. Motion by Wilson, seconded by Solomon to allow the same.
• Passed by Board for April 18, 1992.
Peterson is hosting a tree pruning clinic at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 7,
1992 at the Extension Office, followed by a field demonstration.
Arbor Day festivities will be held on April 24, 1992 at 2:30 p.m. in
Rhoades Park to be hosted by the Blair Chamber of Commerce and Ambassadors.
Solomon motioned and Peterson seconded. Motion carried.
A reported was presented by Leonard on our Tree City status. Some fancy
footwork snatched the title back. City personnel will handle the paper work in
the future.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned with motion by
Jim Peterson and second by George Wilson. Motion carried.
