Blair Park Board Minutes
January 2, 1992
The meeting was called to order by Chairman George Uilson. Members
present were Gene Solomon, Bob Leonard, Jim Petersan and George Wilson.
rlso present was Ralph Steyer.
Solomon moved and seconded by Leonard that reading of the minutes
not be read and that they be approved as mailed out. Motion carried.
There uas a great deal of discussion concerni}g the qualifications
of any Park Superintendent that ;;might be hired at some future time. It
is generally felt that the job description should be updated.
There was a discussion about the budget. Present expenditures
seem to be about normal for the year. The board thought the insurance
on the park pickup was high and suggests that a new insurer be inves-
tigated.
It was suggested that the hybred tea roses in the Rose Garden be
eliminated unless some organization can finance that part of the Rose
Garden. Care of the roses is a very time consuming thing in relation
to the size. In past years the Rose Society did much of the care but
that organization no longer exists.
Bob Leonard reported that the Bike Race event was successful in spite
the the snow. It is hopes that following years will also be successful.
Motion made by Solomon and seconded by Leonard to adjourn. Motion
carried.
