The November meeting of the Blair Park Board was called to
order at 7:30 p.m. by President Bob Leonard. Members present were
Marilyn Gentry, Gene Solomon, Bob Leonard, George Wilson, Jim
Peterson and Bill Trisdale.
Minutes from the September 2, 1993 meeting were read and
accepted. There was no meeting in October.
There were no bills presented for payment approval.
The N.S.A. Educational grant application was received and
placed on file. The Arboretum bank account status was discussed
briefly. No action was taken.
New. Buzines$1
The Lions Club shelter is apparently beyond repair. The Lions
Club has said they will rebuild the same if the park will buy the
materials. After some discussion about where the funds will come
from, it was decided we would be able to find them if the cost is
acceptable.
No real progress on a new location for the park nursery.
The R.V. park is progressing very well. It was mentioned as
a possible site for some of the trees from Gene Solomon.
The dangerous slide at Steyer has been replace with a new
slide. However, some sand is still required under it.
All the toys are in need of a new paint job in the various
parks.
Friends of the Arboretum toured the parks and made some
suggestions about the location or relocation of some of the trails.
Motion by Peterson, second by Solomon to adjourn the meeting
at 9:00 p.m.
Bill Trisdale
Park Board Secretary
