08-05-1993• • • The August meeting of the Blair Park Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Secretary Trisdale. Members present were Marilyn Gentry, George Wilson, and Bill Trisdale. Also present was Park Curator Ralph Steyer and President of the Friends of the Arboretum, Neil Jensen. Due to the fact that there was not a quorum present, no items could be acted upon. The following items were discussed on an informal basis: Neil Jensen gave a brief outline of what activities are being done with the Arboretum. He also stated that if the Park Personnel has projects they can not get to, they should notify them and they will find the time if at all possible. port Ralph Steyer reported that he now has a complete inventory of the park nursery that is destined for the park trails. He also noted that some carelessness has resulted in some damage to a group of rhododendrons and one tree (caliper 1 1/2" in size) being mowed off. Perhaps the person responsible needs to be made aware of said damage in hopes it does not happen again. Steyer also reported that the glider swing seat at Lions Park is loose and needs fixed and there are tables and benches missing from the Harry Arndt shelter. The status of the railroad right of way on the northeast side of the grain elevator was discussed. Discussion ended at about 8:30 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Bill Trisdale Park Board Secretary BLAIR PARK BOARD MEETING OF AUGUST 5, 1993
