Blair Park Board Meeting
June 6, 1996

The June Meeting of the Blair Park Board was called to order by President Kathy
Kuster at 7:30 p.m. Those present included Kathy Kuster, Marysue Pook, and Jim
Peterson. Pat Thompson of the Blair Parks System was also present.
There being no official quorum, no business could be conducted for the meeting.
Several items were discussed informally by the group present.
The Secretary of the Park Board was asked to send letters of thanks to the
following groups for their help in shingling and work done at Steyer Park. These
included the Lions Club, the Masons, the Lutheran Brotherhood, and McGinnis
Roofing.
Discussion was also held in regard to having a Volksmarch in Blair in 1997 as a
part of the "Gateway to the West" Days. This would include a six or 12 mile walk
through Blair and the surrounding area.
Discussion was also held in regard to planing flowers around such areas as the
Rose Garden. Volunteers from the "Friends of the Arboretum" would be doing the
planting.
The next meeting of the Blair Park Board will be on Monday, July 1 rather than
Thursday, July 4 which is a Holiday.
