I guess we did issue that permit in December but have been holding it until a contractor signs it. We will continue to
allow this building permit to be active until December 2010. If you have not had a contractor contact us to sign the
permit by December 2010 we will void the permit and you will need to apply for a new permit or an extension of this
one.

You've applied for the permit but we've never issued it because you have never had a contractor come in and sign the
permit. In fact, I was just discussing that application with Brandy in our office. We were discussing contacting you and
sending back the money because we should not have taken the money on this application if it was going to be held up so
long. Anyway, I guess I need to know where you stand on this application. I really do not want to keep holding this
application if you are not ready to move forward. In answer to your question, if a permit is issued, the permit is good for
(2) years. However, if you have not started the work within (180) days we can void the permit. If you could give me an
update, that would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Ms. Roth:
We have completed our structural review of the proposed modifications to the existing clock tower
structure at Blair College. The proposed modifications consist primarily of adding (1) wall -mounted
antenna per sector, (3) total. Each antenna weighs approximately 10 pounds and has a surface area of
2.07 square feet. The corner wall mount brackets weigh 123.7 pounds each. Each antenna will be
mounted at one of the corners of the clock tower just above the brick corbel at the base of the clock, as
indicated on the attached sketch. The net increase in weight and surface area per sector is considered
structurally insignificant. The corresponding increase in wind loading is also insignificant and is within
acceptable tolerances without need for further analysis or modifications.
Based on the information above, the proposed modifications are structurally adequate and will not affect
the structural integrity of the antenna mounts or the building.
The conclusion reached above is based on information provided to Shive-Hattery.
