Dear Mr. Shryock,
In checking with the Washington County Registrar of Deeds, you are listed as the owner of the
above property. We attempted to make contact with you regarding the clearing of the sidewalk
for this property by sending a letter and by posting a sign at the property. However, due to the
lack of your response, the City of Blair hired an individual to clear the sidewalks on December
18, 2009.
Enclosed please find an invoice for the clearing of this sidewalk. The City of Blair will levy
special assessments against this property in the amount of $90.00 to recoup the cost of snow
removal and administration. If you would prefer to not have special assessments levied against
this property, full payment of the attached invoice is required no later than )Friday, Januar 22,
2010. This matter will be placed on the January 26, 2010 City Council agenda.

DELIVER DATE: December 15, 2009
As a courtesy, you are hereby notified that you are in violation of Blair City Code
Section 8-505 and 8-510. You have permitted snow, sleet or ice to accumulate and
remain on the sidewalk(s) along and adjacent to the real estate described hereinabove.
Please be advised if you fail or refuse to remove the snow, sleet, mud or ice
from these sidewalks within twenty-four (24) hours of date of delivery of this
Notice, the City will cause the same to be removed and the cost of removal shall
immediately become due and payable, jointly and severally from the owners and
adult occupants of the above-described real estate. If you fail or refuse to pay the
cost thereof, a civil suit will be brought by the City without the necessity of any
additional formal demand of payment thereof.
In addition, failure to comply with this notice may subject you to criminal
prosecution pursuant to City of Blair Municipal Code Section 8-701, which upon
conviction thereof will subject you to a fine of up to $500.00 or up to ninety (90) days of
incarceration.
Please be advised that this is a one-time courtesy. Future violations of the above
regulations will not require written notice prior to the City clearing the sidewalks and
billing the owners. Please govern yourself accordingly.
