2009-32RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -32
COUNCILMEMBER ABBOTT INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, Section 5 -217 of the Municipal Code of the City of Blair, provides that the
governing body may by resolution provide for the placing of stop signs or other signs for the
purpose of stopping or regulating traffic on any street or alley within the Municipality's
jurisdiction.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that a stop sign shall be placed at the intersection of 12 Street and
Fairview Drive for the purpose of stopping traffic northbound on 12 Street at Fairview Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that following the passage and publication of this resolution it
shall be unlawful for any person to fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any such stop sign.
COUNCIL MEMBER KEPHART MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER FANOELE.
UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS STEWART, SHEPARD, KEPHART, FANOELE,
CHRISTIANSEN, WOLFF, ABBOTT AND JENSEN VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL
MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING
RESOLUTION PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 13TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2009.
