21 and South Street.
As of October 20, 2009, it appears this tree is still in violation. Therefore, the City will remove the
tree. If you would like another opportunity to prune the branches of this tree to eliminate the
obstruction for visibility at the intersection, you will need to do so by November 6, 2009.
Otherwise, this tree will be put on the city's tree bid list for removal.

Dear Ms. Wright,
This is a courtesy letter notifying you that a complaint has been filed on your property located
at 457 S. 21 Street for a violation of the city's Municipal Code Section 6- 319.06 in reference to
a tree obstructing the vision west of the intersection of 21 and South Street.
After reviewing your property, it was determined (as shown in the enclosed picture) the tree
clearly obstructs vision at this intersection and should be trimmed or removed, if you desire the
city to remove this tree. However, if you would like to keep this tree, you will need to contact
me and agree to trim the tree and keep the tree trimmed to a height of 8' above the surface of
the right of way to eliminate the obstruction. Section 6- 319.06 states it is the responsibility of
every property owner to prune the branches of any tree overhanging any street or right of way
so that such branches do not obstruct the view of any street intersection.
Please contact me by Monday, August 31, 2009 with your decision regarding this tree. Thank
you for your cooperation in this matter.

Brenda, I had a complaint from a gentlemen on 21st and grant about not being able to see up
south street, he said he has almost been hit twice because he is unable to see the traffic
coning down the hill.
