COUNCIL MEMBER ABBOTT INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR,
NEBRASKA, AS FOLLOWS:
That the proposed schedules for special assessments against 1) Lot 2 & N5' Lot 3, Schroders
Addition (622 S. 16 Street); 2) Lot 15, Block 97, Blair City (256 N. 23 Street); 3) Tax Lot 469
in Section 11, Township 18, Range 11, (2156 Colfax Street) and 4) Lot 12, Bel Air Addition (1311
Prospect Avenue), all in Blair, Washington County, Nebraska are hereby tentatively approved and
placed on file with the City Clerk for inspection by all interested parties; that the Mayor and City
Council shall hold a special meeting at 218 South 16 Street on the 23rd day of June, 2009, at 7:00
o'clock P.M. for the purpose of sitting as a Board of Equalization to levy special assessments on
the lots and parcels of land benefited by mowing on the properties known as 1) Lot 2 & N5' Lot 3,
Schroders Addition (622 S. 16 Street); 2) Lot 15, Block 97, Blair City (256 N. 23 Street); 3) Tax
Lot 469 in Section 11, Township 18, Range 11, (2156 Colfax Street) and 4) Lot 12, Bel Air
Addition (1311 Prospect Avenue), all in Blair, Washington County, Nebraska; that notice of the
time of holding such meeting and the purpose for which it is held shall be published in The
Enterprise, a legal newspaper published and of general circulation in the City at least 10 days (two
publications) before the date of said hearing; that the City Clerk is directed to publish such notice
in the form presented to this meeting, which form of notice shall be annexed to the minutes
showing passage of this resolution, and the Clerk shall mail copies of such notice to all interested
parties as provided by law.
COUNCIL MEMBER FANOELE MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER KEPHART.
UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS VOTING "AYE" SHEPARD, STEWART,
FANOELE, CHRISTIANSEN, KEPHART, ABBOTT, WOLFF AND JENSEN AND COUNCIL
MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING
RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 9TH DAY OF JUNE, 2009.
