May 31, 2005
1) Blair Joint Airport Zoning Commission Chairman Gary Wachter called the meeting to order
at 7:03 p.m. Other members present were Martin Hoer, Gene Meyer and Tom VanSlyke.
Jerry Adams was absent. Others present were City Administrator and Airport Manager Rod
Storm and Assistant City Administrator Phil Green.
2) A motion was made by Tom VanSlyke and seconded by Gene Meyer to approve the minutes
from the May 4, 2005 meeting. All members present voted Aye.
3) Chairman Wachter opened a public hearing to receive citizen comments and questions
regarding the proposed airport zoning map and /or airport zoning regulations. Airport
Manager Rod Storm informed the Commission that the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics
had recommended that the proposed regulations be modified to change Runway 31 to
Instrument Runway configuration (50:1 aspect). Since no one else desired to speak at the
hearing, Chairman Wachter closed the public hearing at 7:06 p.m.
4) A motion was made by Tom VanSlyke and seconded by Martin Hoer to amend the Blair
Airport zoning regulations for Runway 31 to Instrument Runway configuration (50:1 aspect)
and to approve the Blair Airport Zoning Map and Regulations and to forward their
recommendation to the Blair Joint Airport Zoning Board. All members present voted Aye.
5) A motion was made by Gene Meyer and seconded by Tom VanSlyke to adjourn the meeting.
All members present voted Aye. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
