COUNCIL MEMBER FANOELE INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, ANNEXING AND
EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BLAIR TO INCLUDE
THE REAL EASTATE WHICH IS GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS TAX LOTS 210,
219, 230, 231, 234, 235, 236, 237, 239, 267 & N1 /2 VACATED ADMIRAL ST, 271 and
272 OF SECTION 7, TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 12 EAST OF THE 6TH P.M.
AND LOTS 1 -4 OF ERIKSEN SUBDIVISION, LOT 2 OF INDUSTRIAL POINT ALL
OF SECTION 7, TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH RANGE 12 EAST OF THE 6TH P.M.
INCLUDING THOSE PORTIONS OF 1st STREET, SHERIDAN STREET AND ALL
OF WETLANDS ROAD ADJOINING THE ABOVE LISTED TAX LOTS IN
WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEBRASKA WHICH IS MORE SPECIFICALLY
DESCRIBED HERINAFTER IN THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, that parcel of real estate described above is adjacent and contiguous to the
current municipal corporate boundary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
WHEREAS, it appears desirable and for the public good and best interests of the City of
Blair, that an ordinance be passed annexing and extending the corporate limits of the City
of Blair to include the real estate hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, Said real estate is contiguous or adjacent to the corporate limits of
the City of Blair, and is urban or suburban in character, and
WHEREAS, Said real estate will receive material benefits and advantages from
annexation into the corporate limits of the City of Blair.
Section 1. That the real estate hereinafter described be, and the same is hereby
annexed and included within the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska, and said
real estate and the persons thereon shall hereafter be subject to all of the rules,
regulations, ordinances, taxes and all other burdens and benefits of other persons and
territory included within the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska.
Parcels of land located in Section 7, Township 18 North, Range 12 East of the 6th
P.M. more particularly describes as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 2 of Industrial Point Subdivision, Blair,
Washington County, Nebraska; thence northerly along the west lot line of said Lot 2 of
Industrial Point Subdivision to the northwest comer of said Lot 2 of Industrial Point
Subdivision, this point also being on the south line of Lot 3 of Eastgate Plaza
Subdivision, Blair, Washington County, Nebraska; thence easterly to the southeast corner
of said Lot 3 of Eastgate Plaza Subdivision; thence northerly to the far northwest lot
comer of said Lot 2 of Industrial Point Subdivision, this point also on the east lot line of
Lot 2 of said Eastgate Plaza Subdivision; thence easterly to the far northeast lot corner of
said Lot 2 of Industrial Point Subdivision; thence southerly to the northwest corner of
Tax lot 272 of Section 7, Township 18 North, Range 12 East of the 6th P.M., thence
easterly to the northeast corner of said Tax lot 272; thence southerly to the southeast
corner of said Tax Lot 272, this point also being on the north right -of -way line of Grant
Street; thence easterly to the southwest comer of Tax Lot 271 of said section 7; thence
northerly to the northwest corner of said Tax Lot 271; thence easterly to the northeast
corner of said Tax lot 271; thence southerly to the northwest corner of Lot 4 of Eriksen
Subdivision, Blair, Washington County, Nebraska; thence easterly to the northeast corner
of said Lot 4; thence southerly along the east line of Lots 3 and 2 to the southeast comer
of Lot 1 of said Eriksen Subdivision, this point also being on the north line of the Grant
Street right -of -way; thence westerly along the north right -of -way line of Grant Street to
the southwest corner of said Lot 2 of Industrial Point Subdivision, also being the point of
beginning.
And
Beginning at the northeast corner of Tax lot 235 of Section 7, Township 18 North, Range
12 East of the 6th P.M.; thence westerly crossing Tax Lot 236 to the northwest corner of
Tax Lot 237 of said Section 7; thence southerly to the southwest corner of said Tax Lot
237, this point also being on the north right -of -way line of Colfax Street; thence southerly
to the south right -of -way line of Colfax Street; thence easterly to the northwest comer of
Tax Lot 231 of said Section 7; thence southerly to the southwest corner of said Tax Lot
231; thence easterly to the southeast comer of Tax lot 230 of said Section 7; thence
northerly along the east lot line of Tax Lot 230, Tax Lot 210 and Tax Lot 234 to the
northeast corner of Tax Lot 235 of said Section 7, also being the point of beginning.
And
Beginning at the northeast corner of Tax Lot 219 of Section 7, Township 18 North,
Range 12 East of the 6th P.M.; thence westerly to the northwest comer of said Tax Lot
219; thence southerly to the northeast corner of Tax Lot 239 of said Section 7; thence
westerly to the northwest comer of said Tax Lot 239; thence southerly to the southeast
comer of said Tax Lot 239; thence easterly to the southeast comer of Tax lot 219; thence
northerly to the northeast corner of Tax Lot 219, also being the point of beginning.
And
Tax Lot 267 & N1 /2 VACATED ADMIRAL ST of Section 7, Township 18 North,
Range 12 East of the 6th P.M.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
