As of today, several temporary signs still exist at your location that do not comply with
the City of Blair's Zoning Ordinance regarding signs. The off premise sign at the corner of 23
avenue and Pittack Street is also still present. My E -mail (see enclosed), sent to you on Friday,
November 7, 2008, explained this matter. To date, this issue has not been resolved.
Enclosed please find a copy of the sign regulations governing property in the A/CH
(Agricultural /Highway Zoning District). You will note the regulations regarding temporary signs
restrict their use to grand openings or other special events for a maximum of fifteen (15) days in
a six (6) month period.
Therefore, we ask that you please remove these signs no later than December 10, 2008.
After this date, if the issue still exists, it will be turned over to the City Attorney.

Subject: Signs at Blair Auto Mall
Brian,
There are two sign violations currently at the Blair Auto Mall. They are:
1. Temporary signs (banners): Current code only allows one (1) temporary sign (banner) per premise for
grand openings or other special events for a maximum of 15 days in a six (6) month period. The council
enacted this regulation to reduce the number of temporary banners that businesses tend to use if allowed.
While we will not make you remove the excess banners now, all banners must be removed fifteen (15)
days from today. which will be Nov. 22

2. Off site sign: Current code clearly states that no off - premises signs are allowed. Off - premise signs are
any sign located on a different lot than the lot upon which the business is located. The Blair Auto Mall
sign you erected on the corner of 23 Avenue and Pittack Street is an off - premise sign, even though you
own the land. This sign must be removed immediately. In case you are wondering, the code does make
an exception for real estate "For Sale" signs, so that sign does not need to be removed.
Sorry to act like the regular voice of bad news, but as I tell everyone, before you do anything on your property,
please check with us first regarding any regulations or requirements.
