2008-18COUNCIL MEMBER FANOELE INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, on January 12, 1993, the Mayor and City Council adopted Resolution No.
1993 -1 prohibiting parking on the North side of Park Street between Tenth Street (10 and
Twelfth Street (12 from 8:00 o'clock a.m. to 4:00 o'clock p.m. on any day the Blair Junior
Senior High School is in session,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council, after further review, has determined that it is
not in the best interest of the City of Blair and its residents to prohibit parking on the North side
of Park Street from Eleventh Street (11 to Twelfth Street (12 in said location.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that parking will be allowed on the North side of Park
Street from Eleventh Street (11 to Twelfth Street (12 and that the no parking from 8:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. on any day in the Blair Junior Senior High School is in session from Eleventh (11
to Twelfth (12 shall be repealed.
COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER BIFFAR.
UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCILMEMBERS STEWART, SCHEVE, SHOTWELL, FANOELE,
CHRISTIANSEN, WOLFF AND BIFFAR VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS
NONE VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 10TH DAY OF JUNE, 2008.
