2007-48COUNCIL MEMBER FANOELE INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS the City of Blair, Nebraska, has been presented with an Interlocal Agreement
between the City of Blair, Nebraska (hereinafter referred to as "Blair ") and The Blair
Community School District 1 (hereinafter referred to as "School ") providing for an agreement to
submit a joint bid for the purchase of fuel for the 2007 -2008 fiscal year to operate motor
vehicles, a copy of said Agreement being attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated
by this reference herein; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that the Interlocal Agreement attached hereto, marked
Exhibit "A" and by this reference made a part of hereof as though fully set forth herein is hereby
approved by the City of Blair, Nebraska.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, are hereby authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the
City of Blair, Nebraska, any documents that may be necessary for approval of said agreement.
COUNCIL MEMBER FANOELE MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF.
UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS SHOTWELL, FANOELE, WOLFF, AND
ABBOTT VOTING "AYE ", AND COUNCIL MEMBERS BIFFAR AND CHRISTIANSEN
VOTING "NAY ", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED
AND ADOPTED THIS 24 DAY OF JULY, 2007.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
This Interlocal Agreement entered into by and between the City of Blair, Nebraska
(hereinafter referred to as `Blair ") and The Blair Community School District (hereinafter
referred to as "School "), on this 214 day of J/ , 2007 and is made
pursuant to the authority provided in Nebraska Interlocal Cooperation Act (Sections 13 -801,
RRS., 1997, et seq.).
WHEREAS, the City of Blair and the School are required to purchase fuel to run their
motor vehicles as part of the daily business of each entity, and
WHEREAS, it has been deemed advisable, advantageous and cost efficient that the two
entities work together to obtain a more favorable bid price for the purchase of fuel to operate the
motor vehicles for each entity as needed; and
WHEREAS, the parties hereby agree as follows:
1. That Blair and the School shall join together via this Interlocal Agreement to
submit a joint bid for the purchase of fuel for the 2007 -2008 fiscal year to operate
the motor vehicles owned by each entity.
2. That the sole purpose of this Interlocal Agreement is to allow for a joint bid by
these two entities to obtain a more favorable fuel bid price as a result of the
increased volume of the purchase.
3. That each entity shall be solely responsible for any and all obligations or
payment for the fuel that each entity will receive.
4. That each entity shall be solely responsible for all accounting, delivery,
documentation and all other aspects relating to the purchase and use of fuel by
that entity.
5. That Blair Community Schools shall receive the bids and have, in its sole
discretion, the right to award the bid.
6. That all references to in this agreement that refer to fuel shall be defined as
gasoline and/or diesel fuel to operate the entities' motor vehicles.
