BOARD MEMBER HUNT INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the Blair Airport Authority lawfully operates the Blair Executive
Airport, located in Blair, Nebraska;
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2023, hail damage impacted two of the rental houses
owned by the Blair Airport Authority;
WHEREAS, on October 17, 2023, the Airport Authority approved a motion to
accept an insurance settlement of $36,900.80 from LARM and to proceed with roof
shingles replacement; removal and replacement of existing gutters and downspouts; and
scrape, prime, and paint all exterior window trim, door trim, and fascia boards;
WHEREAS, bids were received from three contractors. The lowest bids is from
Newton Roofing and Guttering in the amount of $40,554.00, but the City Airport Manager
is working to determine if the bids include painting;
WHEREAS, the second lowest bids are from McKinnis;
WHEREAS, the Blair Airport Authority hereby finds the bids from Newton
Roofing & Guttering in the amount of $40,554.00 are acceptable to the Blair Airport
Authority if both bids include painting;
WHEREAS, if the Newton Roofing & Guttering bids of $40,554.00, do not include
paint, then the Airport Authority will reject that bid in its entirety and accept the bids
from McKinnis;
WHEREAS, the Chairperson and Airport Authority Board have been presented
with this Resolution which would authorize the Airport Authority to approve the bid as
outlined;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above resolution is hereby
adopted and approved by the Blair Airport Authority and the Chairperson and
Secretary are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of
the Blair Airport Authority.

BOARD MEMBER RUMP MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY BOARD MEMBER BAEDKE.
UPON ROLL CALL, BOARD MEMBERS BAEDKE, HUNT, JOHNSON, JONES
AND RUMP VOTING "AYE" AND BOARD MEMBERS NONE VOTING `NAY", THE
AIRPORT AUTHORITY CHAIRPERSON DECLARED THE FOREGOING
RESOLUTION PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 21ST DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2023.
