COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, Nebraska Revised Statute §13-519(2) authorizes the City of Blair to exceed
the limit as established under Nebraska Revised Statute § 13-519(1)(a); and
WHEREAS, the City of Blair desires for the Fiscal Year 2024 to increase the budget lid
limit of an additional one percent (1%) from 2.5% to 3.5%; and
WHEREAS, the increase of the budget lid limit of an additional one percent (1%) from
2.5% to 3.5% is acceptable to the City of Blair.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the additional 1% increase of the budget
lid of 2.5% to 3.5% is hereby adopted and approved by the municipality and the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Blair are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the
municipality.
COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ,
WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER SCHANK. UPON
ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS HIGHFILL, FERRARI, PAULSEN, SANDVOLD,
WILLIS, WOLFF, SCHANK AND HAFER VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS
NONE VOTING `NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2023.
