COUNCIL MEMBER PAULSEN INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council were presented with notification from Police
Chief Joseph Lager that he desires the Mayor and City Council officially designate two (2)
Chaplains of the Blair Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Blair Police Department is a legally organized police department of the
City of Blair, a lawful municipal corporation organized under the laws of Nebraska; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Amy Krejcarek and Pastor Mark Degner the current designated
Chaplains of the Blair Police Department; and
WHEREAS, City of Blair desires to designate Pastor Amy Krejcarek and Pastor Mark
Degner to be volunteer Pastors of the Blair Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Blair designates Pastor Amy
Krejcarek and Pastor Marl-, Degner to be volunteer Pastors of the Blair Police Department, and
said action is hereby adopted and approved by the municipality and the Mayor and City Clerk of
the City of Blair are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the
municipality.
COUNCIL MEMBER PAULSEN MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER SCHANK.
UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS HIGHFILL, FERRARI, SANDVOLD, WOLFF,
SCHANK, PAULSEN AND HAFERVOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE
VOTING `NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED
AND APPROVED THIS 8TH DAY OF AUGUST 2023.
