COUNCIL MEMBER HAFER INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the City of Blair, with Brenda Wheeler as the designated representative for
the City of Blair, utilized the League Insurance Government Health Team (LIGHT) for the July 1,
2022 to June 30, 2023 term; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council were previously presented with a Medical
Renewal Report for Blue Cross/Blue Shield to renew the City Employee's Health Insurance Plan
for an effective period of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the renewal premium increase is 4%; and
WHEREAS, the City of Blair Employee Insurance shall be renewed, effective from July
1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, with the League Insurance Government Health Team (LIGHT)
utilizing the NEtwork Blue (Statewide) Blue Cross/Blue Shield Network.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Blair Employee Health
Insurance Renewal, effective from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, with the League Insurance
Government Health Team (LIGHT) utilizing the NEtwork Blue (Statewide) Blue Cross/Blue
Shield Network, is hereby adopted and approved by the municipality and the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Blair are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the
municipality.
COUNCIL MEMBER HAFER MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ,
WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF. UPON ROLL
CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS HIGHFILL, FERRARI, SANDVOLD, WILLIS, WOLFF,
HAFER AND PAULSEN VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTING
`NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND
APPROVED THIS 23RD DAY OF MAY, 2023.
