COUNCIL MEMBER WILLIS INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR TO INCLUDE REAL ESTATE GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS TAX LOTS
201 AND 283 LYING IN THE NORTH 1/2 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 7,
TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 12 EAST OF THE 6TH P.M., WASHINGTON COUNTY,
NEBRASKA PROVIDING FOR ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH TO BE REPEALED AND PROVIDING THAT SAID ORDINANCE
SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FOLLOWING PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION
AS REQUIRED BY LAW AND ORDERING THE ORDINANCE PUBLISHED IN
PAMPHLET FORM.
WHEREAS, that parcel of real estate described above is adjacent and contiguous to the
current municipal corporate boundary.
WHEREAS, it appears desirable and for the public good and best interests of the City of
Blair, that an ordinance be passed annexing and extending the corporate limits of the City of Blair
to include the real estate hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, Said real state is contiguous or adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of
Blair, and is urban or suburban in character, and
Whereas, Said real estate will receive material benefits and advantages from annexation
into the corporate limits of the City of Blair.
SECTION 1. That the real estate hereinafter described be, and the same is hereby annexed
and included within the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska and said real estate and the
persons thereon shall hereafter be subject to all of the rules, regulations, ordinances, taxes and all
other burdens and benefits of other persons and territory included within the corporate limits of the
City of Blair, Nebraska.
TAX LOTS 201 AND 283 LYING IN THE NORTH 1/2 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF
SECTION 7, TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 12 EAST OF THE 6TH P.M., WASHINGTON
COUNTY, NEBRASKA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION 7, TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH,
RANGE 12 EAST; THENCE N 89°43'03" E (ASSUMED BEARING) ALONG THE
NORTHERLY LINE OF THE NW1/4 OF SAID SECTION 7 A DISTANCE OF 426.37 FEET;
THENCE S 76002'38" E A DISTANCE OF 270.74 FEET; THENCE S 71°53'06" E A
DISTANCE OF 422.36 FEET; THENCE S 77°29'19" E A DISTANCE OF 348.17 FEET;
THENCE S 71 '38'53" E A DISTANCE OF 239.47 FEET TO AN IRON FOUND ON THE
NORTHERLY LINE OF EVERGREEN BLUFF ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BLAIR,
NEBRASKA; THENCE ALONG THE NORTHERLY AND EASTERLY LINES OF SAID
ADDITION AS FOLLOWS S 89034'31" W A DISTANCE OF 421.22 FEET TO AN IRON
FOUND; THENCE S 54006'53" W A DISTANCE OF 135.86 FEET TO AN IRON FOUND;
THENCE S 89027'16" W A DISTANCE OF 288.57 FEET TO AN IRON FOUND; THENCE N
30015'57" E A DISTANCE OF 138.04 FEET TO AN IRON FOUND AT THE NORTHEAST
CORNER OF LOT 7, BLOCK 4 IN SAID EVERGREEN BLUFF ADDITION, SAID POINT
ALSO BEING THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF TAX LOT 201 IN SAID SECTION 7;
THENCE N 73020'23" W ALONG THE NORTHERLY LINE OF SAID TAX LOT 201 A
DISTANCE OF 374.82 FEET TO AN IRON FOUND AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF
SAID TAX LOT 201, SAID POINT BEING THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 8, BLOCK
4 IN SAID EVERGREEN BLUFF ADDITION; THENCE S 00°30'42" E ALONG THE
WESTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 8 A DISTANCE OF 106.70 FEET TO THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF SAID LOT 8 SAID POINT LYING ON THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF GARFIELD STREET AS SAID STREET IS PLATTED IN THE CITY OF BLAIR;
THENCE ALONG SAID WESTERLY PLATTED STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE AS
FOLLOWS ALONG A 50.00 FOOT RADIUS CURVE TO THE LEFT AN ARC DISTANCE OF
104.71 FEET SAID CURVE HAVING A CHORD BEARING OF S 00030'42" E AND A
CHORD DISTANCE OF 88.60 FEET; THENCE S 00°30'42" E A DISTANCE OF 139.44 FEET
TO AN IRON FOUND AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 13 IN FREDRICK'S
MEADOW ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BLAIR; THENCE ALONG THE NORTHERLY
LINES OF SAID FREDRICK'S MEADOW ADDITION AND POUNDS SUBDIVISION IN
THE CITY OF BLAIR S 89043'25" W A DISTANCE OF 550.15 FEET TO AN IRON FOUND
AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 1 IN SAID POUNDS SUBDIVISION SAID POINT
LYING ON THE WESTERLY LINE OF THE NW1/4 OF THE NW1/4 OF SAID SECTION 7;
THENCE N 00007'36" W ALONG SAID WESTERLY 1/4 1/4 SECTION LINE A DISTANCE
OF 539.53 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING AND CONTAINING 10.68 ACRES, MORE
OR LESS.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
