Re: FEMA Community Assistance Visit Closure
Dear Mayor Hansen:
On December 23, 2021, a Community Assistance Visit (CAV) was conducted for the City of Blair,
Nebraska.Since that time, Blair representative Jeff Beiermann worked diligently to resolve items
identified during the visit and to ensure the community’s compliance with the National Flood
Insurance Program (NFIP).
Based on documentation submitted from the City of Blair, FEMA now considers the CAV items
successfully resolved and the CAV closed. Blair is in good standing with the NFIP. We commend
the efforts made by your community’s representatives and their dedication to maintaining and
enforcing an effective floodplain management program. Proper implementation of this program
protects lives and property while reducing exposure and community disruption that results from
flooding.
