STEWART wnrges FROM LINCOLN Sam R. Stewart son ol Mr, and Mrs. Sam Slewnrt of this county writes the following letter from Llnedn which la interesting tc home people.Mr. Stewart has for some time been inberesmed in the Agricultural school at Lincoln where he hu been following dif- ferent lines of work: "lincoln, Neh. Dee. 11, 1930 The Enterprise, Blair, Nebraska. Dear Sir: 1 have a few moments to spare this morning ao will drop n line requesting a change in my Lincoln address.I have received The En- terprise-at 3411 ,Hold. St., in the past but from now on I would like to have it sent to 8605 Hold. Sv.. I have seen several fellows from Blair that have registered in the short course. They seem to bE pleased with the material offered. It ls dl practical knowledge and will prove beneficial to them in their every day life. At present I am engaged in the Plant Pathology green house where two ol us are determining the different .physiological forms of rust that attack the small grains, chiefly wheat. This work ls closely related to the campaign for the eradication of the common mum .bua hu,.i n_ whhh I to o k part during the past summer. I would like in receive the next issue of The Enterprise ut the new address lf possible.Ben regards- to the Blair friends. .Respectfully yours, Sam R. Sbewan." The sky has been overoast and much agitation has been in the air all over the selection of a site for the new swimming pool which was voted on at a special election dur- ing the summer. The decision simmered down m two sites, one of which was the ¢¢5¢_ portion ol Prairie Park addl~ tion and the other the purchase of the south half of the old Castettef pasture, now owned by Leslie Offen and the block of land known as the Chas.Ross property ad~ joining the Castetter park on the east.Much heated discussion arose nvexmthese two sites and at the meeting of Tuesday evening the atmosphere showed signs of bell- igerancy. The majority of thu council favored the buying of the Itoss~0ffen tract at a combined price of S5200, as against $2400 for the Prairie Park tract. The arguments brought out by those in favor of the Prairie Park tract were that the location was more suitable being on a moe highway and thus would draw con- siderable patronage from Omaha and tourists, that the grading which will amount to considerable on the other tract was already done on the Pmirie Park tract, and that the difference of some$3800 in price in fagvor of the Prairie Park tract should he con- sidered. All of these arguments were good and could not be over- looked. The arguments for the Rosa- Offen tract were that the city was getting about two acres more land and that it was adjoining the Castetter Park which so far has been a liability rather than an lI l asset to the city and it was hoped' by the eouncilmen voting in' favor' ..~,.juniors have selected for their play production a very recent Broadway success entitled "Skid- ding".This is a comedy in three acts.A fresh, sinmre picture of American family life, showin# Marion Hardy, a modern college girl who falls eeatically in love with Wayne Trenton juli a a a career is opening up to her, and the difficulties she has in adjust- ing her romance Humor is blend- ed with pathos d a deliciouslygarnished »s1~»~»'§ly makes "Skid- dlng"more significant than the average eomedy.l It is life. The junior play cast is aa follows: Aunt Milly, Mary Mullen;Andy.
