tions of various things which they

From here they drove to Denver,
Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and

about twenty-fiye' miles from the
Utah line.Here they spent four
days visiting at the home of Mrs.
Petersen's brother,Harry Miller
and spent the time fishing, sight-
seeing and visiting.
On their return trip they drove
through the western pan. of Kan-
sas and visited another of Mrs.
Peiersen's brothers,John Miller.
In this section they found the
crops poor and all the way upthroughLincoln and north nearly
to Arlington found crops not good.

The license fee is '75 cents and
evefy driver of more than 16 years
of age must have one.Children
under l6 are not permitted to
drive automobiles under Nebraska
laws and when they do so parents
can be penalized.
The new license is perpetual un-
less revoked for cause so it will
not have to be renewed from year
to year..There is some question of the
distribution of the '75 cent fee to
be paid by all of the drivers.The
attorney general holds that 25
cents goes to the counties issuing
them.25 cents goes to the state
and 25 cents goes to the county
treasurers. Douglas county is con-
testing this ruling in the couns
maintaining that the collection oi'
the fee is a part of the business
of the office and that th treasur-
er is not entitled to 25 /ts.

Accordin to Dr lewis she will-g .be placed in a cast as soon an the
severe pain from which she is now
suffering is eased.She will be
confined to the hospital many
weeks the doctor stated.l t is
feared she may become paralyzed.
Miss Reichenbach also sustained
a gash on her forehead and bruis-
es over her body.Her companion
Carl Nelson, of Blair, sustained a
laceration of one eye lid.
