2022-37RESOLUTION NO. 2022-37 COUNCIL MEMBER RUMP INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the City of Blair, Nebraska, a Municipal Corporation of the State of Nebraska hereinafter referred to as "City" and the Friends of the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter, a Nebraska Non -Profit Corporation with its principal place of business at 145 South 41h Street, Blair, Nebraska, 68008, hereinafter referred to as "Friends" are desirous of continuing the agreement for Animal Sheltering Services, and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the city continue the agreement for the operation of the Animal shelter, and WHEREAS, the City and Friends agree that the operating agreement should be amended to increase the city's share of the cost of operating the animal shelter, which has not increased since the inception of the original agreement, and Now therefore be it resolved by the mayor and city council that the fees agreed to in section 5. A. (FEES) the original agreement shall be increased to $71,760.00 annually ($17,940 quarterly) effective October 1, 2022. Further it is hereby agreed that no other section of the agreement shall be amended. COUNCIL MEMBER RUMP MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ, WHICH MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER HAFER. UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBER HIGHFILL, STEWART, RUMP, WILLIS, WOLFF AND HAFER VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTED "NAY". THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 8TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2022.
