To Designate Official to Serve on League Insurance Government Health Team (LIGHT)
Board of Directors
COUNCIL MEMBER STEWART INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the City of Blair has approved and executed the League Insurance
Government Health Team Interlocal Agreement (the "Interlocal Agreement") providing for
membership in the League Insurance Government Health Team ("LIGHT"); and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Agreement provides that the initial Board of Directors shall be
composed of an elected or appointed official from five municipalities which executed the
Interlocal Agreement prior to July 1, 2022, each of whom shall be approved as a Director by the
respective governing body of the participating Municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality executed the Interlocal Agreement prior to July 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality desires to approve the following elected or appointed official
to serve as a Director of LIGHT:
Name: Brenda Wheeler
Title: City Clerk
(the "Approved Municipal Director").
RESOLVED, that the City of Blair approved the Approved Municipal Director to serve as
a Director of LIGHT pursuant to the terms of the Interlocal Agreement and LIGHT's Bylaws.
COUNCILMEMBER STEWART MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER HAFER. UPON
ROLL CALL, COUNCILMEMBERS HAFER, HALL, WOLFF, WILLIS, RUMP, STEWART,
AND SHEPARD VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCILMEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY", THE
MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS PASSED AND ADOPTED
THIS 14TH DAY OF JUNE 2022.
