COMMITTEE MEETING

Meeting called to order.
This meeting will be conducted in accordance with the Nebraska Open Meeting Act.
Committee members present: Joe Leonard, Ernie Brenneis, Joe McGuire, Rod Storm, Jessica
Raley & Peggy Frahm
1) Craig Heuton from Edward Jones was present to review the portfolio. The Committee
discussed a 80-20 split between stocks & bonds. Craig suggested moving 6% from
American Cap Inc Builder to American Bond Fund of America. Motion by Rod, second
by Ernie to move the funds and suggested by Craig Heuton. All members present voted
aye.
2) Carl Lorenzen received a distribution of funds this year. As he was the first to do so the
committee did not have any procedures in place. Going forward the committee will
schedule a meeting once they have a written request for distribution of funds and
proceed from there.
3) The committee members reviewed the list of department members that have funds in
the program for potential withdrawal of funds. Joe McGuire asked that a letter be sent
with next year's account statements to remind past members of the balance in their
account that will be available to them when they turn 65.
4) Peggy Frahm will be retiring, and Jessica Raley and Natalia Springhower will be
members of the committee in the future.
5) The qualifying list is to be filed with the City Clerk by November 1, 2019 and the
committee will meet on December 4, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. for their annual meeting,
review of the list and allocation of funds.
