COMMITTEE MEETING

Meeting called to order.
This meeting will be conducted in accordance with the Nebraska Open Meeting Act.
Committee members present: Joe Leonard, Carl Rennerfeldt, Ernie Brenneis, Rod Storm, and
Jessica Mavis.
1) Rod Storm called the meeting to order at 11:31 A.M. Craig Heuton from Edward Jones
was present to review the portfolio. He said from February to March, there was a 33%
drop but it bounced back in August. Since election, Dow is up 4.5% and Fire and Rescue
investment is up 11.9%. Widespread adoption of the vaccine will bounce investments
back up. All investments have held up well in respective categories. There is currently
80% invested in stocks and 20% in bonds. The risk is more aggressive to grow the
account. Craig recommended being more conservative if several members are planning
to go off soon. Since all funds are 3 star rated he would not recommend changing any
funds at this time. No changes were made.
2) Members reviewed qualifying list and determined 19 members were eligible for the
Service Award Program.
3) Discussion was held regarding finances. Total Rescue Squad Fund balance is $407,014.21
as of October 1, 2020. Members decide to review financials and report back regarding
contribution at a later time.
4) The committee will meet July 2021 for their bi-annual meeting to review investments
and allocation of funds.
