COUNCIL MEMBER SCHANK INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the City of Blair has the need to contract for towing services from time to
time, and
WHEREAS, City of Blair desires to contract with various towing companies to provide the
towing services for the City of Blair, and
WHEREAS, the City of Blair desires to establish the fees to be paid to said towing
contractors and to establish the fees to be charged for required towing provided to the City of Blair.
NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Blair, Nebraska,
that effective on January 11, 2022, the City of Blair shall agree to reimburse any towing firm that
maintains a towing agreement with the City of Blair the following fee(s) for providing said service
to the City of Blair.
A. Towing Actual Cost charged by the Towing Company
B. Extra Charges Approved by Chief of Police (as
necessary and reasonable)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Blair shall charge the following fees for
reimbursement of any towing costs.
A. Towing Actual Cost charged by the Towing Company
B. Extra Charges Actual Cost paid by City
C. Impound Fee $20.00 per day
D. Administrative Fee $50.00
COUNCIL MEMBER ANDREW SCHANK MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE
ADOPTED AS READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER
MARTY SHEPARD. UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS STEWART, SHEPARD,
RUMP, WILLIS, WOLFF, SCHANK, HALL AND JENSEN VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCIL
MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING
RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 11TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2022.
