Mr. Storm,
We respectfully request keno funds for a lighting project at Peterson Field on the Dana Campus. We intend to utilize the
lights, bulbs, and brackets previously purchased by our organization to keep costs to a minimum.
Costs previously incurred:
Brackets (8 brackets @ $500): $ 4,000,00
Light Housings (8 poles with 8 housings per pole @ $50): $ 3,200,00
Lights (8 poles with 8 lights per pole @ $32 per bulb): $ 2,048.00
Other Costs:
Poles $4p,990,00.
Total Cost of Project: $5fI,238:€?0
Upon approval, eight wood poles will be purchased from Thomasson, Inc out of Mississippi. The poles being purchased
are Class 2 load bearing wood poles.
The brackets we will be using are currently at Kelly Ryan Equipment Company being retrofitted to add extra lights for each
bracket. Upon completion, the brackets will be tested for structural integrity and painted before installation. The cost of
this upgrade is unknown, but our organization will be paying this cost.
The delivery estimate is 10 to 12 weeks out after the order is placed. Barring inclement weather, we plan to have this
project completed before our season begins in the Spring of 2022 to increasethe number of teams coming to Blair. With
the addition of these lights, we have the opportunity to increase the number of tournaments as well as larger fields for
those tournaments.
We appreciate the time and efforts from you and the City in working to bring more people to Blair and make the Dana
