COUNCIL MEMBER HALL INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE CREATING PAVING DISTRICT NO. 204 — WEST VALLEY
SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF BLAIR, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEBRASKA,
DESCRIBING SAID STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND IMPROVEMENTS TO BE
CONSTRUCTED THEREIN, AND PROVIDING THAT SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS MAY BE
LEVIED IN PROPORTION TO BENEFITS TO THE PROPERTY IN SAID DISTRICT; AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE IN PAMPHLET FORM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Sections 16-617, 16-617.01, 16-618, 16-619 and 16-620,
R.R.S. Neb. 1997, Paving District No. 204 be and the same is hereby created within the City of
Blair, Nebraska, the outer boundaries of which District shall encompass the following -described
properties together with the street described below upon which said properties abut, TO -WIT:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
All of BLOCK 18, Dexter's Addition, City of Blair, together with all of Block 7, Dexter's 1St
Addition, together with that portion of the Nebraska Street right-of-way adjacent on the south, as
surveyed, platted and recorded in Washington County, Nebraska, and with vacated Park Street
right-of-way adjacent to both Block 18 and Block 7 and together with Tax Lot 471. In Section
11, Township 18 North, Range 11 East of the 6th PM in the City of Blair, Washington County,
Nebraska, together with that portion of the Nebraska Street right-of-way adjacent to the south,
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the corner of said Block 18, thence on the east line of said Blocks 18
and 7, and west right-of-way of 24th Street, S02 33'56"E a distance of 711.65 feet
to the north right-of-way of Nebraska Street; thence on the on the north right-of-
way of Nebraska Street, S87 33'56"W a distance of 711.74 feet; thence N53
19'46"W a distance of 99.04 feet; thence N30 21'30"E a distance of 773.28 feet
to the north line of said block 18; thence on the north line of Block 18, N87
42'02"E a distance of 368.16 feet to the NE corner of said Block 18, and the west
right-of-way of 24th Street, and the point of beginning; said tract has an area of
422,620.27 square feet, or 9.70 acres more or less.
Within said District, the street to be improved and improvements to be included are:
North 25th Circle West Valley Subdivision of Blair, Washington County, Nebraska.
SECTION 2. The improvements to be constructed in Paving District Number 204 shall
include grading, paving, curbing, guttering and storm sewer and other necessary or incidental
appurtenances to the improvements. Paving will consist of 25 feet wide by 7 inches thick
Portland Cement Concrete for North 25th Circle
SECTION 3. All of said improvements shall be constructed to the established grades as
fixed by ordinance of said City and shall be constructed in accordance with plans and
specifications to be approved by the City Council. Said improvements in Paving District
Number 204 shall be made at public cost, and the cost of such improvements, excepting street
intersections, will be assessed against the property within said District specially benefited
thereby, in proportion to such benefits.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall be known as Ordinance No. 2367 and shall be in
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
