lThomas P. Andersen, an old sc!-tler of this county, died last Thurs-
day, September (th, at the homeofhis daughter,Mrs. James W.
Nielsen, at the age of 81 years.7
months and 17 days.
Deceased lvas born in Denmark
in the year 1860 and when 21 years
of age came to this state. For a
number of years he was employedasa mason in Omaha where he
was man'ied. ln the early nineties
he settled in this county on a farm
west of Blair and he continued
farming until 1917 when he retired
and moved in Bldr.
Sinee that time he has made'
Blair his home. ln 1937, his w'l!e`passed on. He hsa, since that tlme,|
lived mostly in the homs in Blair,
making occasdonsl visits to his chll~
dren.
Four children survive Mr.and
Mrs.Andersen: Kilraih Andersenlof Herman;Mn. J .W. Nielsen,l
Thorvald Andersen and Robbie Amideraen,all three of Blair. There
are also ten grandcllildren.one
great-grandchild and o nephew
who resides in Minnesota.Mr. Andersen was a man of high

outstanding boy in his class, and
attended Dans College. Following

Iowa, school, he went to Baltimore
this summer to take up defense
