COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT REVOLVING LOAN FUNDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 25, 2020 at City Hall the City of Blair will hold a public .,
hearing concerning a potential Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) re -use fund loan to a
prospective business.
Sai Properties V Inc. is requesting a loan of $180,738 for working capital to develop a Holiday Inn
Express within the corporate limits of Blair, Nebraska. The estimated total project cost is $7 million. The
balance of project funds will come from bank financing, private investment, Tax Increment Financing
(TIF), and Local Option Municipal Economic Development Act assistance (LB 840). The proposed
project will result in the creation of seven (7) full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs. No fewer than 51% of
created FTE jobs will be held by or made available to persons from low- and moderate -income
households.
In accordance with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development's directive regarding local
CDBG re -use loan funds, this proposed project will result in the discontinuation of the City of Blair's re-
use fund until such time that the City is able to apply for additional economic development funds from the
Department.
All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity
to be heard regarding the proposed use of CDBG re -use funds. Written testimony will also be accepted at
the public hearing scheduled for 7:00 p.m., August 25, 2020, 218 S. 16' Street, Blair, NE. Written
comments addressed to Brenda Wheeler, City Clerk, at 218 S. 16" Street, Blair, NE 68008 will be
accepted if received on or before August 25, 2020.
