Blair Park Board Meeting Minutes for July 14, 2021
Please Note: Due to the lack of a quorum there was no Park
Board Meeting for the month of July.
Present: Neil Jensen, Steve Tonn, Betsy Anderson and Park
Superintendent Pat Long.
Superintendent Pat Long updated the board members in
attendance regarding ongoing park projects:
1. Bids have been awarded for the Lions Club Ohrt shelter at
Steyer Park; Dicks Electric has been awarded the
electrical contract. Masonry work will be accomplished by
Jay Christensen. Advantage Lawn Care will build the
block retaining wall in the new patio area. City staff will
accomplish the grading, paving and seeding. Work could

begin the week of August 26.
2. A meeting with GOATES will be scheduled for the end of
July or the first of August to “walk thru” the final planning
for the marathon to be held at Black Elk Neighardt Park.
3. Friends of the Arboretum will meet on July 21, 2021.
