2446ORDINANCE NO. 2446 COUNCIL MEMBER HALL INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PURCHASE AND ACQUISITION OF NECESSARY LAND FOR THE EXTENSION OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY FROM WILBUR STREET TO UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 75 FOR THE 10TH STREET EXTENSION PROJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE IN PAMPHLET FORM. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Nebraska Revised Statutes, a City of the First Class may seek to acquire property for the purposes of expanding the public right of way and easements for utilities and streets: SECTION 2. The City of Blair is actively engaged in the 10th Street Extension Project which expands the public right of way for public transportation. The City of Blair has state funding to assist with the 10th Street extension project and contracts in place for the partial state funding for the project. SECTION 3. To complete the extension of the public right of way, it is necessary for the City of Blair to acquire .60 acres as described in Section 4. SECTION 4. A TRACT OF LAND BEING DESCRIBED 0.60 acres, (approximately 26,136 square feet) of 1530 U.S. Highway 75, Blair, Washington County, Nebraska, which is legally described as Tax Lot 225 in Section 13, Township 18 North, Range 11 East of the 6th P.M., Washington County, Nebraska, is necessary to expand the public right of way. [See Attached Exhibit A, Corrective Survey for the City of Blair, for the description of the .60 acres needed for the extension project.] SECTION 5.
