Whereas, Nebraska Statues require all political subdivision to hold a public
hearing on their proposed budget following publication of proposed budget statement as
provided by law; and
Whereas, the Blair Airport Authority has held a public hearing on the proposed
budget as provided by law; and
Whereas, the Blair Airport Authority is not requesting a levy authority from the
City of Blair levy limits for general operating expenses;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Blair Airport Authority approves
the budget as attached as Exhibit A containing zero (0) tax dollars for operations and
$49,500 for debt service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Board has lease purchase agreements
approved prior to July 1, 1998 for zero (0) dollars and is not included in the above tax
request as allowed by law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Public Airport has repayment of interest
free loans from the Department of Aeronautics for zero (0) dollars and is not included in
the above tax request as allowed by law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board shall forward the
adopted budget to the State Auditors and County Clerk of Washington County
requesting a levy be set sufficient to provide $49,500 for payment of debt service as
required by the adopted budget.
BOARD MEMBER MEYER MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY BOARD MEMBER COMBS
UPON ROLL CALL, BOARD MEMBERS COMBS, HAVEKOST, MEYER AND VAN
SLYKE VOTING "AYE", AND BOARD MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY', THE
CHAIRMAN DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED
THIS 17TH DAY OF AUGUST, 2004.
