2012-06RESOLUTION NO. 2012-06 BOARD MEMBER L. HAVEKOST INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, The Blair Airport Authority has an intention to limit the time span in which Aircraft may park on the apron at the Blair Airport, and WHEREAS, the limitation is necessary for the continued growth of the Blair Airport and to maintain optimal safety on Blair Airport property; WHEREAS, the Blair Airport Authority, shall amend section 4.01 of the Blair Airport Authority Rules and Regulations to disallow any aircraft to be parked on the apron of the Blair Airport for a period exceeding fifteen (15) days without approval from the airport manager; WHEREAS, the Blair Airport Authority, shall amend section 4.01 of the Blair Airport Authority Rules and Regulations to disallow any aircraft to be parked on the apron of the Blair Airport for a period exceeding thirty (30) days without board approval from the Blair Airport Authority; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Chairman and members of the Blair Airport Authority of Blair, Nebraska, that section 4.01 of the Blair Airport Authority Rules and Regulations shall be amended to read as follows: The Blair Airport Authority shall establish and maintain a schedule of fees to be charged for the parking of aircraft on the public use transient apron and on other designated public access parking areas. No person shall park an aircraft on any such public parking areas overnight unless the required overnight parking fees have been paid. Failure to pay the required parking fee may subject the owner or operator of the aircraft to criminal sanctions or may result in the impoundment of the aircraft as hereafter provided. No aircraft is permitted to be parked on the apron of the Blair Airport for a period exceeding fifteen (15) days without approval from the airport manager. No aircraft is permitted to be parked on the apron of the Blair Airport for a period exceeding thirty (30) days without board approval from the Blair Airport Authority. All aircraft owners subject to this section must furnish Blair Airport Authority with a current certificate of air worthiness or show cause why certification will not be forth coming. If any aircraft is found parked in violation of this section, and the identity of the operator cannot be determined, the owner, or person in whose name such aircraft is registered, shall be held prima facie responsible for such violation and fees. JOHNSON AND WOODHULLVOTING "AYE", AND BOARD MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY", BOARD MEMBER MEYER ABSENT. THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 20TH DAY OF JUNE, 2012.
