2020-37RESOLUTION NO. 2020-37 COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, Section 5-217 of the municipal Code of the City of Blair provides that the governing body may by resolution provide for the placing of stop signs or other signs for the purpose of stopping or regulating traffic on any street or alley within the Municipality's jurisdiction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, that a stop sign shall be placed on the South side of the intersection of Arbor Drive and N. 18th Avenue and on the east side of the intersection of Arbor Drive and Arbor Circle and that the Street Department of the City of Blair is hereby authorized and directed to place said stop sign as established hereby. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that following the passage of this Resolution it shall be unlawful for any person to fail, neglect, or refuse to comply with said parking restriction. COUNCILMEMBER FRANK WOLFF MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER KEVIN WILLIS. UPON ROLL CALL, COUNCILMEMBERS HALL, ANDERSEN, WOLFF, WILLIS, RUMP, AND STEWART VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCILMEMBERS SHEPARD VOTING "NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 13TH DAY OF OCTOBER 2020.
