AN ORDINANOE Providing for the Lioensing of Drays Doing Business in the City of Blair, Nebraska; Fixing the Rate of License Therefor, and Providing Penalties for VlolationThereof. It is hereby declared unlawful for any person, persons, firm or corporations, or the agent or employee of any person, persons, firm or corporation to run or operater':f'or pay any truck or other vehicle within the limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska. as a'dray for pay, or to operate any such truck or other vehicle upon the streets and .publio thoroughfares of this. city to carry or transport goods, wares or things of any kind for others for hire without obtaining a license so to do, as hereinafter provided. Any person, persons, firm or corporation desiring to operate a public dray line for hire shall first obtain a license so to do from the city clerk of said city. Sûoh licenses. shall be issued only after application therefor has been made by residents of such city of good characte~ and upon the payment of an annual fee in the sum of .$10.00, payable in advance upon making said application, which fee shall pay for said license for the period of, one year or until the next June 1, whichever may be the . shorter. ~, I : SECTION 3. Upon the making of such application, as aforesaid, and upon payment to him of said license fee of $10.00, the city clerk is hereby authorized and shall thereupon issue a written license to any such applicant .authorizing such applicant to operate the vehicle as a public dray in said city for the"period of one. year, or until the following June 1, whichever may be the shorter. If any such person desires to operate more than, one vehicle in such business, he shall obtain a separate license for each such vehicle. . 'SECTION~.
