COUNCIL MEMBER ANDERSEN INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS commencing on March 15, 2020 and continuing, the Coronavirus, COVID-
19 has impacted the City of Blair causing economic hardship, damage to public and private
property, disruption of community services, endangerment of health and safety of the City.
WHEREAS the Mayor of Blair has declared a state of emergency authorized under
Nebraska State Statute R.R.S. 81-829.50 on behalf of the City of Blair and will execute for and
on behalf of the City of Blair the expenditure of emergency funds from all available sources.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA, are hereby authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the
City of Blair, Nebraska, any documents that may be necessary for approval of said emergency
funds.
COUNCIL MEMBER ANDERSEN MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER HALL. UPON
ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS JENSEN, HALL, ANDERSEN, WOLFF, WILLIS,
RUMP, STEWART AND SHEPARD VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE
VOTING "NAY', THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED
AD ADOPTED THIS 14" DAY OF APRIL, 2020.

the City.
Therefore, the Mayor of the City of Blair has declared a state of emergency authorized
under Nebraska State Statute R.R.S. 81-829.50 on behalf of the City of Blair, and will
execute for and on behalf of the City of Blair the expenditure of emergency funds from
all available sources, the invoking of the mutual aid agreements, and the applying to the
State of Nebraska for assistance from the Governor's Emergency Fund and any other
resources he deems necessary in the fulfillment of his duties.
