RESOLUTION NO. 2020-5
COUNCILMEMBER WILLIS INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR,
NEBRASKA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Council hereby find and determine: That mowing
made to the following property: Lot 5, Block 6, Second Addition, together with that part of vacated
street right of way of Park Street, Blair City, Washington County, Nebraska (1253 Park St.) for
mowing.), has been completed as certified by the City Clerk. That the City billed to owner of the
property for charges and charges have not been paid, and pursuant to Municipal Code Section 4-
506 the charges for mowing shall be levied as a special assessment, in the same manner as other
assessments. The attached schedule is a true copy of the charges to be assessed.
SECTION 2. There shall be and there are hereby levied against the following property:
Lot 5, Block 6, Second Addition, together with that part of vacated street right of way of Park
Street, Blair City, Washington County, Nebraska (1253 Park St.) for mowing set out in the attached
amounts set out opposite said lot and parcels of ground as per the attached schedule, which
schedule will be corrected to reflect any changes heretofore made by the Board of Equalization.
Said assessment shall become due 50 days after the date of passage of this Resolution levying
special assessment, and may be paid within said time without interest, but if not paid by said date
shall draw interest at the rate of delinquency as provided by law from and after the date of passage
of this Resolution.
SECTION 3. All said assessments shall be a lien on the property on which levied from
the date hereof and shall be certified by the City clerk to the Treasurer of the City for collection.
A copy of said Resolution shall be filed in the office of the County Clerk.
SECTION 4. The Schedules of proposed assessments with any changes therein as
heretofore directed by the Board shall be attached to and made part of the Minutes of this meeting
and are hereby made a part of the Resolution as if fully stated herein.
COUNCIL MEMBER WILLIS MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ,
WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER RUMP. UPON ROLL
CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS SHEPARD, RUMP, WILLIS, WOLFF, HALL AND JENSEN
VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY", THE MAYOR
DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 28TH DAY
OF JANUARY 2020.
