ORGANIZATION REQUESTING FUNDS:
Independent Telephone Pioneers Association, Blair Chapter and
City of Blair Municipal Swimming Pool

OBJECTIVE: It is the goal of the Independent Telephone
Pioneers Association to promote community
improvement -by assisting with community betterment
projects.
PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:
The members of the Independent Telephone Pioneers Association
contacted the City Staff with a proposal to donate a water
slide (picture attached) to the City for installation at the
municipal pool. The Associations would raise funds to buy a
slide, single tube and then someday a second or third --slide
could be added.
After looking at the pool to determine whether a slide could
be added safely, the City Staff presented the proposal to the
Council Judiciary Committee to review. The Committee approved
the plan to add the slide with the recommendation that two
tubes be installed. It was recommended the Association apply
for Keno Funds to purchase the second slide tube.
We feel the addition of this slide to the pool will provide
many hours of enjoyment and recreation to the youth of the
community.
