2019-19 - New towing feesRESOLUTION 2019-19
COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the City of Blair has the need to contract for towing services from time to
time, and
WHEREAS, City of Blair desires to contract with various towing companies to provide the
towing services for the City of Blair, and
WHEREAS, the City of Blair desires to establish the fee to be paid to said towing
contractors and to establish the fee's to be charged for required towing provided to the City of
Blair.
NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Blair, Nebraska,
that effective on August 1, 2019 the City of Blair shall agree to reimburse any towing firm that
maintains a towing agreement with the City of Blair the following fee(s) for providing said service
to the City of Blair.
A. Towing $100.00
B. Extra Charges Approved by Chief of Police (as
reasonable)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Blair shall charge the following fee's for
reimbursement of any towing costs.
A. Towing
B. Extra Charges
C. Impound Fee
$100.00
Actual Cost paid by City
$20.00 per day
D. Administrative Fee $50.00
COUNCIL MEMBER ANDERSEN MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER RUMP. UPON
ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS STEWART, RUMP, WILLIS, ANDERSEN, WOLFF
HALL AND JENSEN VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTING "NAY",
THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED
THIS 9TH DAY OF JULY 2019.
