2019-15RESOLUTION NO. 2019-15
COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the Blair Public Library and Technology Center has a 3D printing technology
equipment that was purchased in 2016 to help provide advanced technology learning capabilities
for the citizens of the community; and,
WHEREAS, the Blair Public Library no longer utilizes the equipment due to the
complexity of use and cost of operating the equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the Blair Library Foundation and American Broadband have donated smaller
3D printers that are easier and more cost effective for the public use in the Blair Public Library
and Technology Center; and,
WHEREAS, the Blair Community Schools will be starting a technology class that will
utilize advanced 3D printing capabilities provided by the equipment no longer utilized by the Blair
Public Library and Technology Center; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Blair Administrative and Library staff has recommended that the
Mayor and City Council determine that the 3D printer is surplus equipment and approve the
transfer of the equipment to the Blair Community Schools for the benefit of the students of the
Blair Community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council approve the
ownership transfer of the 3D Printer Make Cube Pro Trio, Model Number 401735 and Serial
Number 60230122340250 to the Blair Community Schools for use by the students of the Blair
Community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Resolution is hereby
adopted and approved by the municipality and the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Blair are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the municipality.
COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ,
WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER WILLIS. UPON ROLL
CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS SHEPARD, STEWART, RUMP, WILLIS, WOLFF,
ANDERSEN AND JENSEN VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTING
`NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND
APPROVED THIS 11TH DAY OF JUNE, 2019.
