BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
A meeting of the Board of Adjustment was held on July 2nd 1996
at 12:00 noon in the Chambers of the City of Blair NE.
Jim Martin turned in his resignation on the Board of Adjustment
and the Mayor appointed Loyd Scheve to serve on the Board.
Board members present were Lloyd Scheve,Dave Waite, Bob Carlson
and Rich Hansen Alternate.
Also present were Rod Storm and John Ashcraft.
A motion by Scheve to have Dave Waite serve as Chairman of the
Board, and seconded by Rich Hansen. 4 Ayes No Nays Carried.
A discussion was held. John Ashcraft the reason for the requet
for a 1,5 ft. variance to the fence on the lrYast and North of
the property. The City Council on May 28th voted to approve an
easement for the fence to be on City Right -a -way. The Council
granted the esement with no restriction of height for the fence.
This is the reason Ashcraft was before the Board of Adjustment
requesting a 1.5 ft. The fence was 42 inches in height and a
1,5 ft.variance would make the fence 60 inches in height.
Motion by Scheve to grant th 1.5 ft. variance for the reason of
hardship and public safety of the children and the staff, and
seconded by Waite.
Waite asked for a roll call, all four present voted Aye. All
4 Ayes No Nays Carried.
Their being no other business at this time Waite asked for
adjurnment. Motion by Scheve, seconded by Hansen. 4 Ayes no
Nays. Carried.
