BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held on
Thursday, November 8, 1990, at 1200 noon, in the Council Chambers
of the City of Blair.
Present*-. at the meeting were Jim Martin, Mark Kettlecamp, David Waite
and Bob Carlson. Also present were Rodney Storm, Wyman Nelson repre-
senting the City of Blair, and Nile Johnson representing the Pat
Mallette Construction Co.
ChAIRMAN Martin asked for a motion to suspend the reading of the
previous minutes. Motion made by Kettlecamp, seconded by Waite,
and carried.
Storm explained on a drawing board the levels of the flood plain
compared to the variance that the Mallette Construction Co. wants.
The National Floodplain Insurance Program Floodplain Management
Regulations is 1065 ft. at the level of the proposed building site.
A six unit condominium with the lowest floor to be built 2.5' below
the required flood elevation is what the contractor wants.
After discussion, Wyman Nelson explained that the City of Blair
would not be liable if high water would occur in the future. Kettle -
camp asked for a motion to approve the 2.5 ft. variance to the flood
plain of the National Insurance program, seconded by Waite. Martin
called for a motion which was 4 Ayes, 0 Nays, and motion carried.
there being no other business at this meeting, motion to adjourn
was made by Kettlecamp, seconded by ':,'Waite, and carried.
