BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING
September 6, 1988
A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held
on Tuesday, September 6, 1988, at 12:00 Noon in the Council
Chambers of the City of Blair.
Present at the meeting were Margaret Beck, Ken Rhoades, Jim
Martin and 'Bob Carlson. Also present were William Wilson,
Wyman Nelson, Douglas Bullock, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thompson,
the applicants for the variance.
A motion to suspend the reading of the minutes from previous
meeting held on August 9th was made by Rhoades,seconded by
Beck and carried.
Bill Wilson, Building Inspector for the City of Blair, explain-
ed what was needed in the way of a variance in order for the
Thompsons to proceed with their building plans. A discussion
was held, questions asked and answers were given.
A motion to grant a variance of 8 ft. on the 23rd St. front,
which should require 20 ft., was made. This would leave
12 ft. between the lot line and house.
Also to grant a variance on the side lot (Park St.) of 17 ft.,
which would leave 8 ft. between the lot line and house. This
side lot should have 25 ft. between the lot line and house.
This motion was made by Carlson and seconded by Rhoades. Martin
asked for a vote. Beck, Rhoadaes, Carlson and Martin in favor;
no nays, motion carried.
There being no other business at this time, a motion to adjourn
was made by Rhoades, seconded by Beck, and carried.
